Aucuba 'Mr. Goldstrike' is one of the most beautiful of all aucubas, but one that is somewhat slow to get started. Our 6-year-old plants are now 4' tall x 4' wide, although they will eventually mature at 6' tall x 5' wide. The leaves are heavily spotted gold, but appear quite bright from a distance. Aucuba 'Mr. Goldstrike' is a male cultivar that serves as a pollinator for nearby females...the perfect evergreen for dry shade.
